Hi Everyone,
My name is Katherine Odgers and I am a student in Omer Ari’s Reading 3030 class. I am now a junior and very excited to be in block I. I have heard that it is a lot of work, but I am mostly excited because we are now in the main classes of our major. I have always wanted to be an elementary teacher ever since I was little.
I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and I loved it. I was not too far from the beach or the Mountains. It is the capital of North Carolina so there were plenty of things that you can do. Personally I just love to relax and spend time with my family and friends. That is why I love getting the opportunity to go home over break. None of my good friends from home came with me to college so I have had to meet new people. I love my friends here at school and I am thankful that I have been able to create a home away from home. I love this town and all of the people that live here.
I am looking forward to this class and this semester. If anyone has any questions you are more than free to leave them in the comment box.

I really enjoyed reading your poems. The “Obedient” verb caught my eye. That’s something that you don’t see very often on a college student’s list of descriptions. I really respect that.

Katie, I love your two poems! haha I feel the opposite of there being lots of things to do in Raleigh..maybe it’s becuase I am so use to it, but who knows!
Kate, I enjoyed reading your about me section. I also love living near Raleigh because it is so close to both the mountains and the beach.
Kate, I truly loved reading your page! From reading your poem I learned alot of things about you and I know you are a great person and I am very thankful to have met you. I love going to visit at Raleigh because of the many things to do there as well!
Kate, I love your poems, and your a-wkward! I used the same word. I am so glad that you love Boone, because most people get so bored with it. I love Boone too!
Kate! I liked your autobiography paragraph. I also came to a school without any of my high school friends. I did that on purpose so I would have to make new friends and break out of my box.
I love that you have sleep, onions, and God in the same line haha! Awkward and Silly…I can relate to those.
I hate onions too! I also would love to travel to Australia. Good job!
